Job Title: Adult Education Coordinator and Instructor

The Association of Haitian Women in Boston is seeking an experienced coordinator for a part-time position to direct its Adult Education Program. Ideal candidates will have a desire to work for an organization whose mission is community organizing and activism.

Supervision: Report to the Executive Director

Responsibilities:

Serve on hiring teams
Train and supervise staff and volunteers
Organize in-service training for staff
Coordinate program recruitment, intake, assessment, and evaluation
Maintain appropriate program and student records
Prepare monthly reports
Attend required trainings and meetings pertaining to funding source and Adult Education networks

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree required
Previous experience in Adult Basic Education
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work with individuals of diverse cultural, linguistic and socio-economic backgrounds
Program development, program management and supervisory skills
Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments
Technology skills to include Microsoft Office usage, use of data bases and internet researching.

Position Status: Part time, grant funded.
