Every year, AFAB offers a basic computer course, to help adults become more familiar and comfortable with this technology, in order to use it in a productive way.
Economic Literacy
Offered 2 times a year, AFAB's Economic Literacy Training workshops aim to give participants a greater knowledge and understanding of finances and financial issues that affect them in their daily lives, in an effort to help them attain greater financial independence and confidence. Topics covered in these workshops include:
- Personal finance: education, career planning, budgeting, savings, taxes, credit and homeownership
- Macroeconomics
- Investment: Bank accounts, savings bonds, mutual funds, and the stock market
AFAB offers these training workshops 1-2 times per year.
